It is the first time in the history of Ekal Vidyalaya Movement in India; an electronic smart class is being introduced in the Ekal Vidyalayas. The smart class is the brain child of Shri.S.Muralidharan President, EECS, who is incorporating the new technology initiative with the traditional teaching methodology of Ekal Vidyalaya.  The ‘Smart class’ works on a LED TV, mounted on a stand and operates study materials, videos, visuals etc, embedded in a thumb drive (USB Drive) with the help of a remote control. The Acharya can easily operate the equipment while explaining the portions in the syllabus. The audio-visual presentation will help the students to learn more easily as some students may find it difficult to learn through the traditional system of teaching. At present the same is implemented on experimental basis and special training will be imparted to Acharyas to operate the ‘smart classes’.
